왜 당신들은 나를 버렸는가

연기가 나를 위로 끌어올릴 때

당신이야말로 우리를 버렸네

당신이 비워 버린 아래쪽 가마솥의 바닥에

왜 당신들은 나를 찾지 않았는가

똑같은 연기가 나를 아래로 끌어내릴 때

이제 당신이 우리를 찾으시오

당신이 뒤집어 놓은 위쪽 가마솥의 가장자리에서

왜 당신들은 나를 불러내지 않았는가

연기가 나를 산 채로 삼킬 때

이제 당신이 우리를 부르시오

아래쪽 가마솥과 위쪽 가마솥의 귀들을 통해

Gluttonous smoke

Why did you abandon me

As the smoke bore me upwards

It was you abandoned us at the bottom

Of your emptied lower cauldron

Why did you not seek me

As the same smoke bore me downwards

It's for you to seek us now on the rim

Of your overturned upper cauldron

Why did you not call to me

As the smoke swallowed me alive

It's for you to call to us now through the ears
