Honesty
At the edge of Whispering Forest lived a young fox named Finn.
Finn was known for being clever.
He could run faster than Rabbit.
He could leap farther than Squirrel.
And every autumn, he collected more acorns than anyone else.
Whenever the Harvest Festival arrived, the animals admired Finn's overflowing basket.
"You always find the biggest acorns," Rabbit said.
Finn smiled proudly.
"I just know where to look."
This year, Finn wanted more than admiration.
He wanted to win the Golden Acorn, a small wooden trophy given to the animal who gathered the finest harvest.
Early one crisp morning, Finn hurried into the forest before sunrise.
Golden leaves drifted through the cool air.
Every basket he found filled him with excitement.
Then, beneath the oldest oak tree, Finn spotted the largest acorn he had ever seen.
It was smooth.
Shiny.
Perfect.
As he reached down, he noticed a tiny wooden tag tied around its stem.
It read:
"For Dori."
Finn paused.
Dori was the little squirrel who had spent days searching for the biggest acorn in the forest.
Finn looked around.
No one was there.
"If I keep this," he whispered,
