그가 남긴 말들이 남아 있네
세상보다 더 아름다워
아무도 그 말들 속을 들여다보지 못하네
시간의 굽이굽이에서 기다리네
사람들보다 더 위대하여
누가 그 말들을 입 밖에 낼 수 있으랴
말 없는 땅 위에 누워 있네
삶의 뼈들보다 더 무겁게
죽음조차 그 말들을
지참금으로 가져가는 데 성공하지 못했네
아무도 그것들을 들어 올릴 수 없네
아무도 그것들을 쓰러뜨릴 수 없네
별똥별들이 머리를 숨기네

Fairer than the world
No one dare gaze at them
They wait at the turnings of time
Greater than people
Who can pronounce them
They lie on the dumb earth
Heavier than bones of life
Death didn't manage
To carry them off as a dowry
No one can lift them up
No one throw them down

More beautiful than the world
No one dare to look at them long
They wait around time's turnings
Greater than men
Who can pronounce them
