안녕하세요. 김용년입니다. 저는 작가이자 인생성공연구원 CEO입니다. 삼성에서 30년 동안 일했고, 그중 20년은 글로벌 장학사업을 총괄하며 1,000명이 넘는 인재의 성장 과정을 가까이에서 지켜봤습니다. 현재는 그 경험을 바탕으로 자기계발, 리더십, 경영, 교육에 관한 바카라을 쓰고 강연과 상담, 컨설팅을 하며 유튜브를 통해서도 성장과 인생의 지혜를 전하고 있습니다.
삼성에서 근무한 첫 10년은 삼성물산에서 인사기획, 채용, 교육, 비즈니스 전략 업무를 했고 인도네시아 자카르타 지사 운영도 맡았습니다. 사람을 뽑고 교육하며 조직 안에서 성장하도록 돕는 일을 하면서 자연스럽게 한 가지 질문을 갖게 되었습니다. 사람은 어떻게 성장하는가? 이후 삼성의 글로벌 장학사업에 참여해 삼성장학회에서 약 20년 동안 근무했고, 글로벌 장학사업을 총괄하는 임원으로 일했습니다. 장학생 선발 기준을 만들고 우수 인재를 선발하며, 그들이 세계적인 인재로 성장하도록 지원하는 일을 맡았습니다.
그 과정에서 1,000명이 넘는 우수 인재들이 세계적인 대학에서 석사와 박사 과정을 공부할 수 있도록 지원했습니다. 많은 장학생들이 하버드, MIT, 스탠퍼드, 프린스턴, 옥스퍼드 등 세계적인 대학에서 공부했고, 졸업 후에는 국내외 대학의 교수, 연구자, 기업가, 글로벌 기업의 핵심 인재로 성장했습니다. 저는 그들의 도전과 실패, 성공과 성장을 오랫동안 가까이에서 지켜봤습니다. 그리고 한 가지 중요한 사실을 배웠습니다. 사람을 크게 만드는 것은 단순한 재능이나 좋은 환경만이 아닙니다. 실패해도 다시 일어서고, 어제보다 오늘 조금 더 나아지려는 성장의 힘이 중요합니다.
그래서 제가 사람들에게 가장 많이 전하고 싶은 메시지도 분명합니다. 성공은 어느 날 갑자기 만들어지는 결과가 아닙니다. 올바른 방향으로 꾸준히 성장한 시간이 모여 성공을 만듭니다. 젊었을 때는 저 역시 성공에 관심이 많았습니다. 하지만 인생을 살아오면서 성공보다 더 오래 남는 것이 있다는 것을 알게 되었습니다. 바로 성장입니다. 남보다 앞서는 것만 생각하면 삶은 늘 불안할 수 있지만, 어제의 나보다 오늘 조금 더 나아지는 것을 목표로 삼으면 인생을 바라보는 시선이 달라집니다.
삼성에서 퇴직한 뒤에는 제가 경험하고 배운 것을 더 많은 사람들과 나누기 시작했습니다. 현재는 글쓰기, 강연, 상담, 컨설팅을 통해 학생, 온라인 게임인, 경영자, 리더들이 자신의 길을 찾고 성장하도록 돕고 있습니다. 유튜버로도 활동하며 인생 후반을 살아가는 분들을 위해 자기계발, 인간관계, 마음관리, 인생의 지혜, 노후 준비와 성장에 관한 이야기를 쉽고 따뜻하게 전하고 있습니다. 제가 주로 다루는 분야는 자기계발, 공부 방법, 진로, 유학, 면접, 리더십, 조직 관리, 커뮤니케이션, 글로벌 인재 육성입니다. 복잡한 이론보다 실제 현장에서 사람을 뽑고 키운 경험과 글로벌 인재의 성장을 지원하며 배운 교훈, 그리고 제 삶에서 직접 겪은 성공과 실패를 쉽고 현실적인 언어로 전하려고 합니다.
글쓰기는 제 삶에서 매우 중요한 일입니다. 저는 지금까지 국내외에서 모두 20권의 바카라을 출간했습니다. 대표적인 저서로는 『성장을 위한 마음 편지』, 『인생 참고서』, 『어떻게 행복해야 하는가』, 『어떻게 일해야 하는가』, 『인생, 어떻게 살아야 하는가』, 『면접 가이드: 삼성 20년 전문가의 합격 전략』, 『경영자 리더십』, 『대통령 바이블』 등이 있습니다. 해외 독자를 위한 영어바카라도 출간했으며, 아마존에는 『Wisdom Echoes: Echoes of Insight』,『Success Wisdom and Mindfulness』, 『Mastering Job Interviews in Korea』, 『Father's Letters to His Daughter』 등이 있습니다. 제가 계속 고민하는 질문은 단순합니다. 사람은 어떻게 더 나은 삶을 살 수 있을까요? 어떻게 하면 더 잘 배우고, 더 좋은 리더가 되고, 실패한 뒤 다시 일어서며, 나이가 들어서도 계속 성장할 수 있을까요? 저는 이런 질문에 대한 생각과 경험을 바카라과 글, 강연과 유튜브를 통해 나누고 있습니다
앞으로도 성장, 리더십, 인재 육성, 공부법, 진로, 인생 후반의 삶과 지혜에 관한 바카라과 콘텐츠를 꾸준히 만들고 싶습니다. 제 경험과 콘텐츠에 관심을 갖는 출판사, 작가, 기업, 기관과 좋은 인연이 생긴다면 새로운 바카라, 공동 집필, 인터뷰, 강연, 유튜브, 콘텐츠 제작 등 다양한 방식으로 함께하고 싶습니다. 서로 다른 전문성과 경험이 만나 새로운 가치를 만드는 협업에도 늘 열려 있습니다.
기업과 기관에는 리더십, 인재 육성, 조직 성장, 자기계발을 주제로 강연과 교육을 진행하고 있으며, 학생과 학부모에게는 공부 방법, 진로, 유학, 면접에 관한 경험과 조언을 나누고 있습니다. 온라인 게임인과 리더에게는 경력 개발, 리더십, 조직생활, 인생의 다음 방향에 관한 상담과 컨설팅을 제공하고 있습니다. 저는 제 경험이 모든 사람에게 정답이라고 생각하지 않습니다. 하지만 삼성에서 30년 동안 일하고, 20년 동안 글로벌 인재들의 성장을 지원하며 얻은 경험이 누군가에게 새로운 관점이 되고 작은 도움이 될 수 있다고 믿습니다.
저는 1964년에 태어났습니다. 이제 인생의 후반전을 살아가고 있지만 여전히 배우고 싶은 것이 많습니다. 새로운 바카라을 쓰고, 새로운 사람을 만나고, 새로운 도전을 시작하는 일이 즐겁습니다. 저는 제 자신을 이렇게 소개하고 싶습니다. 저는 사람의 가능성을 믿습니다. 그리고 사람은 나이가 들어서도 계속 성장할 수 있다고 믿습니다. 제가 가진 경험이 누군가에게 다시 시작할 용기가 되고, 제가 쓴 한 문장이나 한 편의 영상이 누군가에게 새로운 길을 보여줄 수 있다면 그것은 저에게 매우 의미 있는 일입니다.
늦었다고 생각할 때도 다시 시작할 수 있습니다. 나이는 숫자지만, 성장은 선택입니다. 오늘 한 걸음 성장하면 새로운 내일이 시작됩니다.

Hello. My name is Kim Yongnyeon. I am a writer and the CEO of the Life Success Research Institute. I worked at Samsung for 30 years. For 20 of those years, I was in charge of Samsung’s global scholarship program and closely watched more than 1,000 talented people grow. Today, I share what I learned through books, lectures, counseling, consulting, and YouTube.
For the first 10 years at Samsung, I worked at Samsung C&T. I worked in HR, recruiting, education, and business strategy. I also managed Samsung’s Jakarta office in Indonesia. Through this work, I became interested in one important question. How do people grow? Later, I joined Samsung’s global scholarship program. I worked there for about 20 years and served as an executive in charge of the program. I helped build the selection system, selected talented students, and supported their growth.
During that time, I supported more than 1,000 talented students. Many studied for master’s and doctoral degrees at leading universities such as Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Princeton, and Oxford. After graduation, many became professors, researchers, business founders, and leaders in global companies. I watched their challenges, failures, success, and growth. From this experience, I learned something important. Talent and a good environment are not enough. What matters is the power to stand up after failure and become a little better than yesterday.
This is one of my main messages. Success does not happen in one day. It comes from steady growth in the right direction. When I was younger, I cared a lot about success. But as I got older, I learned that growth can be more important than success. If we only try to beat other people, life can become stressful. But if we try to become a little better than yesterday, we can see life in a different way.
After leaving Samsung, I started sharing my experience with more people. Today, I write books and articles. I also give lectures and offer counseling and consulting. I work with students, professionals, business leaders, and people who want to become leaders. I am also a YouTuber. On YouTube, I talk about personal growth, relationships, emotional well-being, life wisdom, later life, and new beginnings. My main areas are personal growth, learning, careers, studying abroad, job interviews, leadership, organizational management, communication, and global talent development. I value real experience more than difficult theory, and I try to share what I have learned in simple and practical words.
Writing is a very important part of my life. So far, I have published 20 books in Korea and overseas. Some of my Korean books include *Letters for Growth*, *Life Guidebook*, *How to Be Happy*, *How to Work*, *How to Live*, *Job Interview Guide*, *Leadership for Managers*, and *The President’s Bible*. I have also published several English books on Amazon, including *Wisdom Echoes: Echoes of Insight*, *Success Wisdom and Mindfulness*, *Mastering Job Interviews in Korea*, and *Father’s Letters to His Daughter*. I keep asking myself some simple but important questions: How can we live a better life? How can we learn better? How can we become better leaders? How can we rise again after failure? How can we keep growing as we get older? I share my thoughts and experiences about these questions through books, writing, lectures, and YouTube.
I want to keep creating books and content about growth, leadership, talent development, learning, careers, and life wisdom. If a publisher, writer, company, or organization is interested in my work, I would be happy to work together on new books, co-writing projects, interviews, lectures, YouTube, or other meaningful content. I am always open to creating new value with people who have different experiences and knowledge.
For companies and organizations, I give lectures and training on leadership, talent development, organizational growth, and personal growth. For students and parents, I share advice about learning, careers, studying abroad, and job interviews. For professionals and leaders, I offer counseling and consulting about careers, leadership, work, and the next stage of life. I do not think my experience is the only answer. But I believe the lessons I learned during 30 years at Samsung and 20 years of supporting global talent can give people new ideas and practical help.
I was born in 1964. I am now in the second half of my life, but I still have many things to learn. I enjoy writing new books, meeting new people, and taking on new challenges. This is how I describe myself. I believe in human potential. And I believe we can keep growing at any age. If my experience gives someone courage to start again, I will be happy. If one sentence from my writing or one video helps someone find a new direction, that means a lot to me.
We can start again. Age is only a number. Growth is a choice. One small step today can change tomorrow.
