The Eastern Front of World War I (1914–1918)
The Eastern Front was one of the major theaters of World War I, where the Russian Empire fought primarily against Germany and Austria-Hungary.
Unlike the Western Front in France and Belgium, which became dominated by static trench warfare, the Eastern Front featured massive troop movements, encirclements, cavalry operations, and battles across enormous distances.
